Performed mid-level managerial functions in the management of all Texas colocation sites for COLO.COM. Each site consists of 35K square feet of telecommunications and network facilities for IXC, ILEC, & CLEC operators. Managed a $450,000 per month operation budget and supervised 42 professional and technical personnel across the state of Texas.

Responsibilities included all voice, video and data telecommunications. Responsible for technical design and support of eight (8) call centers, three Voice Response Systems (VRU), global wide area network (WAN), electronic commerce group (Internet), trade floor telecommunications (feed services and IPC turret systems) and local area networks (LAN). Managed 174 toll-free (800) numbers, multiple interexchange carriers (IXC), multiple local exchange carriers (LEC), virtual private network (VPN), remote access system (RAS) and two Internet Service Providers (ISP). January '84 to May '91 - INTERLINK COMMUNICATIONS INCORPORATED, HOUSTON, TX President and COO

President and COO with P&L responsibilities of a voice and data networking company that provided engineering, installation and maintenance of copper and fiber networks. Interlink maintained twenty-six (26) contracts with local companies for provisioning telecommunications services (voice, data and video hardware platforms) for campus type networks. Interlink’s customers included universities, chemical plants, law firms, and computer manufacturing firms. Interlink installed video networks for high rise buildings and parking garages for use with personnel safety and security systems. Interlink employed a work force of eighty-six (86) technicians and workers. COO responsibilities included management, direction and supervision of engineers, project leads and installation technicians from inception to acceptance of large network projects. Conducted Proposal Presentations to customers and potential clients. Trained sales personnel in technical aspects of the business. Negotiated and implemented large contracts with network users to provide voice and data distribution, switch installation, and Centrex Plexar networks.
